
The Knowledge for World Conservation (KWC), under its Forest Governance, Markets and Climate (FGMC) Project, invites qualified consultants to submit applications for the development of a Comprehensive Operational Manual for the Women in Timber Ghana Association (WiTG).
About WiTG
The Women in Timber Ghana Association (WiTG) is a membership-based association of women entrepreneurs operating along Ghana’s timber value chain. Established in 2022, the Association works to strengthen the capacities, leadership, and welfare of women in the forest and timber sector while promoting sustainable forest management and informed participation in forest governance processes. As the Association continues to grow, there is a need to strengthen its governance, management, operational systems, and accountability mechanisms. KWC is therefore seeking an experienced consultant to support the development of a comprehensive Operational Manual and build the capacity of WiTG leadership and staff for its effective implementation.
Objectives of the Consultancy
The consultancy seeks to develop a comprehensive Operational Manual that will strengthen WiTG’s governance, management, accountability, and operational effectiveness while enhancing the capacity of its leadership and staff to implement the manual.
Key Responsibilities
The selected consultant will:
- Review relevant organizational documents and existing systems.
- Conduct consultations with WiTG leadership, staff, and stakeholders.
- Develop a comprehensive Operational Manual covering governance, human resource management, administration, and financial management systems.
- Facilitate a validation process and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
- Develop implementation tools and orientation materials.
- Conduct capacity-building sessions for WiTG leadership and staff.
- Submit the final approved Operational Manual.
Required Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Governance, Development Studies, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational development, governance systems, institutional strengthening, and operational manual development.
- Experience working with civil society organizations, membership associations, producer organizations, or natural resource governance institutions.
- Strong facilitation, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
Duration
The assignment is expected to be completed within three (3) calendar months.
