Project Title: Restoration for Resilience and Recovery (3R) of Sustainable Agri-Food Systems
Funding Agency: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
Implementing Partner: Knowledge for World Conservation (KWC)
Background
Knowledge for World Conservation (KWC), with funding from the FAO, is implementing the 3R project to support sustainable, deforestation-free agri-food systems in Ghana. The project focuses on enhancing the capacity of smallholder cocoa farmers, timber exporters, and other stakeholders to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Recent stakeholder engagements in the Ashanti, Eastern, and Western North regions highlighted limited awareness of the EUDR. A baseline study is needed to assess readiness for compliance and inform capacity-building efforts.
